   I have currently had this in use for about a week. Picture quality is great for movies and tv, the colors are bright and sharp. The frame is silver and very thin, only about 1/2 inch around the sides and top. I am using the “standard” picture setting with minor adjustments. There are several pre set modes and 2 user defined modes which can all be customized. Overall this is a great value for the price, but it has no smart features or built in wifi. You will need to look at a higher model for those features. It has 2 hdmi inputs but the position of input 1 is poor and you may need a 90 deg adapter to use it if wall mounting. I am just using #2 which is easier to access.

   I cannot comment on the sound, as i use a home theater, but most tvs in this price range do not have good speakers so investing in a soundbar is usually a good idea. The sound can be turned off in the settings which is nice if you dont need it. The remote seemed basic to me, but i use a universal so it was only used briefly. The stand consists of 2 screw on feet that sit about 1 inch in from the ends of the tv. You will need a console almost as wide as the television if not wall mounting. Also it sits very low, so a skinny sound bar would be best. The stated thickness on amazon and the lg site is incorrect. It is only about 2 1/4 inches thick overall.

   There is some amout of uneven backlighting on the set, mostly around the perimeter, but after research this seems to be typical of most led sets, especially in this price range. It is only noticable with a black screen being viewed in a dark room. It does not seem apparent when viewing a signal, after customizing the backlight and brightness settings.

   Suggest getting the ext warranty as all makes can fail and the repair cost often approaches or exceeds the cost of replacement. Only a power cord is included, so if you need hdmi or other cables be sure to order those. The hdmi standard changes, so even if you have an older hdmi cable it’s worth considering replacing it to get the newest version, best possible signal and avoid any problems.
   Bottom line if you want a nice basic tv for a great value get it!

   Replacing my 47″ vizio lcd. Standard cable looks about the same but that’s due to cable hd being a joke. But witcher 3 looks incredible on it. As good or better than my monitor. Hbo go Game of thrones was a noticeable improvement too.

   One thing to mention about the calibration. There’s a setting called Black Level. Of your going to play games I highly suggest turning this to high. For tv low Is fine. As for most tvs I notice turning off most the advanced picture settings is the best bet. Or only use low settings.

   Good quality. Good price. First LG product I’ve owned I would purchase another.

   Not a smart tv!! I have xbone for those needs. Hate seeing ppl knock off stars for non smart tvs when some people are not looking for a smart tv. I own a 55 vizio smart tv. And the video apps are slow and terrible. I still suggest others means such as consoles, chrome cast, roku etc.

   TV arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Not difficult to set up. Clear picture. Much better picture than other brands of TV we have had. As a note, this TV was purchased for two hearing-impaired people who rely on a good picture and closed caption to be able to enjoy the shows they watch. They are really enjoying the great picture and clear captioning on this TV.
