Flimsy thumb screws,
I called GoPro customer service if there were any replacement parts I could get but the only solution was to “buy another one”.
They couldn’t even provide a part number and said that they were unlikely be able to get any type of replacement parts in the future.
Really?
Drop $70+ for another 3 Way grip when all I need is a thumb screw (mind you it’s pretty flimsy after turning it a certain point).
Yea I don’t think so.
Don’t buy this.

Expensive; cheaply made,
The entire product is made of thin plastic. The part that seems the weakest is the tripod. I have seen other similar tripods that are made of aluminum, this one is NOT. The entire thing is very unstable The grip doesn’t give you much reach. In short for the MSRP of seventy bucks, this is going back.

Great Idea, Poor Build Quality,
The other items I’ve used from GoPro that are made out of plastic are durable and functional, but this one feels too delicate. The grip itself is solid and sturdy, but the arm and tripod are very flimsy. I can easily imagine them breaking or cracking with regular use, and it would not take much downward force to snap the legs off the tripod.
Unfortunately, the high price and low build quality mean that I’ll be returning this one. But the concept is great, and if you’re willing to treat it delicately, it could work for you. If this had been built out of a lightweight metal, it would be 5 stars all the way.
