The case for people who don’t want a case,
The only thing I don’t like is that the edges are ever-so-slightly raised above the screen line. And I mean slightly. Maybe 1mm. Maybe. But it’s enough to detract from the best part of the new iPhone design, its curved screen rounding into the aluminum on the sides. If you’re the kind of person that has rocked your iPhones naked because you appreciate the design so much, then this will bug you as it bugs me. This slight lip will not protect your screen in any way. I think it’s there because it kind of has to be, not because they cut any corners. It just is what it is.
I’m glad it was so inexpensive. If I decide later that the lip bothers me too much, I’m not out 50 bucks or anything. Right now I’m going to try to get used to it because it really does make the iPhone much, much easier to hold with confidence. And I’m certain I’m going to scratch the lens so it’s nice that it helps keep the lens off of surfaces. We’ll just have to see if my compulsion for great design wins out over the practicality and comfort of this case.

Good Case for Basic Protection,
As far as protection, like I said up top, it’s not going to protect your phone as well as other cases, but it will absorb some of the damage from a drop and what not. The case is your standard rubber plastic material. It is really thin, but once again, I didn’t buy this case to be large. I’m not going to purposely drop my phone to test it out, but I expect the case to protect my phone if I accidentally drop it from my pocket or something.
Pros:
-thin
-feels and looks great
-secured on the iPhone 6 when put on
Cons:
-thin
-not going to protect your phone like an otter box
-since it’s the rubber fit, the oil and grease from your hands will show up on it (but can be wiped away)
Misc:
I took it out of the box and I immediately got a whiff of a terrible rubbery odor. I know this will fade over time, but man I almost gagged because it was a really strong and unpleasant odor. The case is also thick enough that it prevents you from hitting the buttons on the side of the phone when you don’t want to.
Conclusion:
All in all, I really like this case. I wanted a case that would offer some protection for my 6, but not be so bulky that I can’t fit my phone into my pocket. Spigen has a great case here that does both for me. It sacrificed protection for the slim fit, but I am completely fine with that. This is a good case for a great price.
I highly recommend this case if you want something that is slim but will offer basic protection for your 6. I won’t be buying another case, unless it breaks, but even then I’ll probably buy another Spigen case.
