   This blu-ray player works perfectly. I’ve used it for about a month now and love it. I cancelled my cable a while back and now use this for Netflix and Hulu plus and can even watch current news on my tv with it. I was even able to program my Samsung tv into the remote so now only need one remote. I did have to find and download the user manual from the internet in order to figure out how, but once I had the instructions it was easy. I’m posting them here to help any future buyers.

   I’m replacing a Sony blu-ray player with this one because I wanted Sony’s new user interface for streaming that allows you to have captions on Netflx and Amazon. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money – this is going in the room I use for exercising. I watch streaming videos sometimes, and the captions are useful because the exercise machines make noise and can drown out dialog. Anyway – this is refurbished, but I can’t tell it’s anything other than new. It works perfectly, has a great blu-ray picture, and the streaming works well using my ethernet (there’s no wi-fi). The only complaint I have is very minor – there were no batteries for the remote in the box – not a big deal at all.

   This works great out of the box! Outstanding picture quality. I bought it for my dad because I am moving and taking the PS4.
   He is not very technical but he loves this device and has no problem using it.
   Kudos for the buttons for Netflix and captioning!
